Job Description:
Job Description Purpose of the role To support Wholesale Lending
with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue
resolution. Accountabilities Support with day-to-day Wholesale
Lending initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting,
trading and issue resolution through lending technical expertise.
Monitoring the bank’s lending operations to ensure that they are
conducted in an efficient and effective manner and comply with
relevant regulatory requirements. Collaboration with teams across
the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Lending processes.
Identification of areas for improvement and providing
recommendations for change in Wholesale Lending processes.
Development and implementation of Wholesale Lending procedures and
controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
Development of reports and presentations on Wholesale Lending
performance and communicate findings to internal senior
stakeholders. Identification of industry trends and developments to
implement best practice in Wholesale Lending Services.
Participation in projects and initiatives to improve Wholesale
Lending efficiency and effectiveness. Assistant Vice President

for how we behave. Play a Key Role in Closing Highly detailed Loan
Trades – Use your experience to help us deliver timely, accurate
settlements in a fast-moving market. In your role as a Distressed
Closer, you will help us support the end-to-end closing of
Distressed, Par, and Near Par trades booked by our Trading Desk. As
an Assistant Vice President, you’ll manage a dynamic pipeline of
deals, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure
trades are confirmed and settled accurately across the LSTA and LMA
markets. Drawing on your ability to interpret highly detailed loan
documentation, you will prepare, review, and manage materials such
as credit agreements, collateral documents, trade confirmations,
transfer documents, and funding memorandums. You will coordinate
closely with counterparties to verify trade terms, resolve
discrepancies, and remove roadblocks to meet tight deadlines. Your
work will also include overseeing final documentation and
settlement of troubled loans, liaising with internal and external
stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
As part of the restructuring process, you will help convert pre
restructured debt into proceeds—whether new bank debt, equity,
notes, cash, or litigation trust interests—while supporting the
team with ad hoc tasks that keep our operations running smoothly.
To be successful in your role as a Distressed Closer, you should
have: Extensive Loans Closing experience with PAR/Distressed/Equity
The ability to read and interpret highly detailed loan documents,
identify discrepancies High client service experience Other highly
valued skills include: Being proficient in using Microsoft Office
applications, Clearpar, Loan IQ Being a collaborative partner with
a remarkable work ethic and attention to detail Good people skills,
written and verbal communication The ability to work with minimal
guidance and take full responsibility of defined tasks The aptitude
to learn new software / applications You may be assessed on the key
critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and
controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic
thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical
skills. This role is located in Whippany, NJ and secondary location
in Wilmington, DE. Applies to Whippany, NJ only. Minimum Salary:
$70,000.00 Maximum Salary: $133,000.00 The minimum and maximum
salary/rate information above include only base salary or base
hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or
benefits that may be available. Barclays employees are eligible for

eligible for an incentive award.
