We're offering a relocation bonus of up to $7,500 ! Schedule: Part-Time, 0.6 FTE, 48 hours per 2 weeks, 8 Hour Evening Shift (2:00 pm - 10:30pm) possibility for Full-Time. No on-call hours! NHRMC is committed to supporting mothers in their breastfeeding journey and ensuring the best possible start for both mother and baby. Our nurses are skilled in providing lactation support, empowering mothers to achieve their breastfeeding goals, and promoting maternal-infant bonding. This position offers the opportunity to work independently, without on-call hours, in a supportive and collaborative environment. Job Responsibilities: Develops and implements standards of care and guidelines to assist breastfeeding mothers in all areas of the organization actively promoting breastfeeding and assist mothers in reaching their breastfeeding goals. Collaborates with physicians and other health team members in coordinating the plan of care and facilitating patient outcomes. Functions effectively with fluctuating patient census can prioritize and manage daily work. Provides a breastfeeding plan for discharge. Using extensive breastfeeding knowledge; advises and develops plan of care regarding management of breastfeeding problems. Demonstrates critical thinking skills for problem solving and anticipating patient care needs. > > > > > > Job Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in accredited nursing school required. Current valid North Caolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required. 1 Year experience in acute care required. 2-year experience in Maternal/Child nursing role including breastfeeding support required. 3-5 years' experience in Maternal/Child nursing role including breastfeeding support or experience working as a Lactation Consultant preferred. > > > > > > Novant Health is committed to improving the health of its communities, one person at a time. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
